Job Posting: Cath Lab RN – Legacy Health

Schedule & Shift Details

• Shift: 4x10-hour days (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Call Requirement: One weeknight per week and one weekend every 3–4 weeks
• Block Scheduling: Not permitted
• Orientation: 80 hours (8 hours non-billable)
• RTO Restrictions: No time off allowed in first 2 weeks; max 7 days total
  
  

Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 1 year Cath Lab RN experience
• Scrub experience required (manifold system, not Acist)
• Certifications:
• Required: BLS, ACLS
• Preferred: PALS
• Charting System: Epic (required)
• License: Oregon RN license required; pending license accepted with proof of application and fingerprints
• Travel Experience: Not required for the right applicant
• Trauma Experience: Level I preferred
  

Unit Overview

• Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
• Rooms: 7 (brand new lab with Philips Azurion systems)
• Environment:
• Western-facing windows
• Dedicated call rooms with showers
• EVS turnover staff available 7 days/week, including overnight
• Procedures Include:
• Cardiac and neuro IR/vascular scrub procedures
• Diagnostic and interventional catheterizations
• PCI, IABP, Impella, rotablator atherectomy
• Cerebral and carotid angiography, embolization
• EP procedures, pacemaker insertion
• Skills Required:
• 12-lead EKG, ACT, dysrhythmia management, sedation monitoring
• Sheath removal, vascular access, stent placement
• IV therapy, blood product administration, central line assistance

• OR/IR/Cath Lab/PACU: scrubs provided
• All other units: any color except all black, dark green, or camo
• Parking: Free in unrestricted spaces

Additional Notes

• Refusal to float may result in contract cancellation
• Floating may occur within site and across Legacy Health system
• Mandatory education must be completed within one week of assignment
• Low census cancellation: up to one shift per pay period, with 1.5 hours’ notice
